For the past 3 months Jo Oddo, a licensed Lay Chaplain, Parish Worker and Hosanna member, and I have been talking with each other and working with Staff Support and recently the Care Team to create a volunteer position that would assist me in organizing and aiding in the care of our homebound and those in some kind of distress. The position has evolved into a wonderful ministry that is enhancing how we care for others.
We all can be very grateful for Jo offering herself to this ministry. Jo and I meet on a regular basis to review the pastoral care needs of the church and organize our response. She will help in record keeping, providing resources, and insuring that no one is missed. She will also be doing visiting and eventually bringing communion in addition to my own visiting and home communions. In no way is she replacing my visitation ministry. She has office space in the workroom and can be reached at the 106 extension on our office phone system. She also has an email address of Jo@welcometohosanna.com
